License

Navigate to System > License to view your current license status and manage activation.

License Status

The page displays a status banner at the top indicating the current state:

ActiveTealLicense is valid and all licensed features are available
No LicenseYellowNo license file has been uploaded — activation is required
InvalidRedLicense is expired, corrupted, or does not match the current hardware

License Details

When a license is present (valid or invalid), a details card shows:

FieldDescription
Product NameThe licensed product tier (e.g., "Koios Pro")
License IDThe license key identifier
Request IDThe activation request identifier (for support)
Hardware IDThe machine fingerprint this license is bound to
Expiration DateWhen the license expires, with a relative countdown
Product FeaturesList of features included in the license

The License ID, Request ID, and Hardware ID fields are copyable — click them to copy to your clipboard.

Activating a License

If no valid license is present, the page shows the three-step activation wizard. This is the same flow shown on first login.

Re-Activation

If you need to re-activate — for example, after moving Koios to a different server or VM — click "Need to re-activate your license?" on the license page. This expands the activation wizard so you can generate a new activation file for the current hardware.

First-Login Flow

On first login to a new Koios installation, the application guides you through an onboarding sequence:

  1. Account setup — optionally set your email, name, and a new password
  2. License activation — the three-step activation wizard
  3. Application access — after activation, you're taken to the home page

You can skip both the account setup and license activation steps, but without a valid license the platform operates in a limited state.
